Nora Chipaumire, dancer and choreographer from Zimbabwe, currently based in New York City, will create works during her a month residency inspired by traditional performing art, history, and culture of four regions of Okinawa.

She will hold dance workshops and talk event which local people can participate at each places.

Her work “a prayer” will be performed as work-in-progress performances at Ie Island at the end of the residence.
